Incredible story, Craig. I feel so terrible for what happened to you, and I know this kind of crap happens to us gays so often. Thank you Matt for showcasing craigs story. It was a hard episode to listen to. Ps Matt- your podcast totally rocks! I’ve been listening to your podcasts for several months now and I feel comforted and affirmed by your topics and style. You voice so many of those feelings of frustration that I know so many in our community share. And to top it off, you are halarious and irreverent! you for daring to express yourself and to put yourself out there. And thank you too Craig For sharing such a painful story! You Both rock!

Thanks for having the courage to finally share that story and thanks to Matthew for giving it the air time it deserved. Have been very curious a long time to hear what happened, and especially as a gay man working in a school system myself. Like the Prop h8 results, i’m sad to say i wasn’t shocked by the sad story you had to tell. I changed majors from Education to journalism half way through my college career for fear of this very same scenario playing out where i went to college in Alabama. I struggled with it for a very long time, but you know growing up gay in Alabama that most citizens of the state unfortunately think we are a menace to children.
Therefore, good teachers are defeated before they have the chance to start their careers or like myself..are forced to pursue their love of teaching elsewhere. Again,thanks so much for sharing the story here and love you guys to bits!

A very interesting show and really sad about what happened to Craig. It is amazing how bitter and nasty people who don’t agree with other people and their beliefs can react and really hurt people.
I had similar things happen in the military but also in civilian jobs. So I can totally relate and I hope that Craig will continue to be strong and keep going after your goal and try to let the past go. The only way to win is let the anger go and not allow them to hurt you anymore.
