The comedy show you were talking about called “Work It” reminds me of a show from the early 1980′s called “Bosom Buddies”. It starred Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari. In that show, the two were looking for an affordable apartment, but the only one they could find was for women only. So, they dressed as women, got the apartment, and had to keep up the charade. And no, the two characters were not a couple (were not dating each other). Sounds like “Work It” may have gotten their idea from “Bosom Buddies”.
